Mount Vinson is the highest peak in Antarctica at 4,892 metres (16,050 ft). Vinson is situated in the Sentinal Range and is part of the Seven Summits as the highest summit on the Antarctica continent.

The first recorded ascent of Mount Vinson was made in 1966 by Nicholas Clinch and party of ten others on the expedition.
